Upcoming update to PMS Chapter 2 & Write PMS API IG in Q2 2025

Updated versions of Chapter 2 and Write PMS API IG will be released on the PMS webpage and PLM Portal later this month. The updates will refine business rules for structured data submission and update technical specifications based on industry feedback, ensuring improved accuracy, compliance, and smoother system integration.

In April 2025, updated versions of Chapter 2 and Write PMS API IG of the EU IDMP Implementation Guide (EU IG) will be released on the PMS webpage and PLM Portal. The revisions will include:
  • Chapter 2: further refinement of the business rules and conformances to support the data submission of structured manufacturers data and pack sizes.
  • Write PMS API IG: updated technical specifications taking into account comments from industries, software developers and vendors.
These regular updates of the EU IDMP Implementation Guide (EU IG) aim to ensure and improve data submission accuracy and smooth system integration, minimising errors and ensuring compliance with regulatory and business rules. Additionally, the revisions refine the technical implementation guidelines, providing MAHs with clearer instructions for correctly implementing the connection to the PMS write API
