PMS EU IG updates and upcoming events in Q3 and Q4 2025
An updated version of Chapter 9 of the EU IDMP Implementation Guide is now available, with Annex III of Chapter 2 to follow later in Q3. A new file named PMS-PLM-ESMP-eAF data matrix will also be released in Q3. The PMS team will host two webinars in October to present insights and training on Bulk Edit (PUI) and Write (API) functionalities.

As we enter the second half of 2025, key updates to the EU Identification of Medicinal Products (IDMP) Implementation Guide (IG) and upcoming product management service (PMS) public events are planned to support stakeholders. Below is a summary of recent changes and events scheduled for Q3 and Q4.
EU IDMP IG updates
Please find an overview of latest and upcoming updates of EU IDMP IG:
- Chapter 9 (updated in early July 2025): the latest version (version 3) of this guidance provides an update on managing XEVMPD deltas related to the transfer of Marketing Authorisation Holders (MAH) for non-CAPs in PMS.
- Chapter 2 (update foreseen by end of Q3 2025): a new annex will be added to Chapter 2, recommending the use of a specific loc ID to fulfill data element 2.8 in Chapter 2.
Upcoming public webinars in Q3 and Q4
- PMS ad-hoc webinars: PMS Product Team will host two dedicated webinars in October to share insights and provide training on the following topics:
- Bulk Edit functionality in PMS PU
- Write functionality in the PMS API
These sessions will offer an overview of each feature's capabilities, along with guidance on registration, access, and security.
